Halloween, Bonfire Night and the beginning of the Christmas season provide fantastic subjects for gorgeous shop fronts. Datateam Business Media, organiser of the Footwear Industry Awards, urges footwear retailers and agents to enter the National Shop Front of the Year by submitting images of their best window displays of the past 12 months.
Long-term supporter of the Footwear Industry Awards the Society of Shoe Fitters (SSF) has donated a Footwear & Fitting Course, worth £500, for the runner up in the National Shop Front of the Year Award 2017. Laura West, Secretary at the SSF, said: “The Footwear & Fitting Course is huge value to a business on many levels. Students benefit from a vast amount of information collated over many years and continually updated, as well as being mentored by their personal tutor throughout the whole process. There are two practical workshop days – one in London at the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists and the other at a shoe factory. Once the course is completed successfully, members receive assistance and promotion, ranging from online promotion; helpline; advice and educational display/merchandising to promotional support, i.e. radio phone-ins, TV liaison, editorial for media and more.”
The overall winner of the category will receive £1500 of holiday vouchers.
To enter, retailers need to email one or more high-resolution images of their shop front displays from the past twelve months to cheryltayloreditor@googlemail.com. Entries close on the 5th January 2017, so don’t delay!
The winners will be announced on the Gala Awards Dinner on the 19th February at the National Conference Centre (formerly the National Motorcycle Museum), Birmingham, on the evening of the first day of the Moda Footwear Show.
