Following the success of the 2019 event, Datateam Business Media – publisher of Footwear Today magazine – is delighted to announce that entries for the 9th iteration of the Footwear Industry Awards are open.
As the landmark occasion in the industry’s calendar, the awards scheme has been holding the footwear sector to a standard of excellence for almost a decade – and now is the time for the industry’s leading brands and retailers to put themselves in the running to win a prestigious trophy.
What’s to be won?
The 2020 event will host a diverse range of categories, each designed to recognise every corner of the footwear trade. Whether you are part of an entry-level, independent start-up or a well-known multinational corporation – there is an accolade to acknowledge all contributions to the sector.

How can you win?
Leading brands and retailers are invited to put themselves forward to win a prestigious trophy using the online entry form found on the Footwear Industry Awards website. Furthermore, professionals from across the field are also encouraged to nominate any companies and individuals they work alongside that they deem to be award-worthy. From here, all the entries and nominations that meet the criteria will proceed to the decision-making process.
The scheme will keep its unique format for 2020, with the power to decide who wins remaining in the hands of professionals from across the footwear industry. The secure online voting process will, once again, be the only deciding factor in curating a shortlist of finalists and deciding the winners and highly commended in all of the Retailer and Industry categories.
While for the Brand awards, a two-stage decision-making process will be the determining factor: first, online votes will produce a shortlist of finalists, before a panel of specially-selected experts will pick those deemed to be worthy of walking away from the event with a prestigious trophy.
Will you be there for the big reveal?
The glittering awards ceremony will take place in February of next year, where the leading retailers and brands will be crowned as champions in front of the industry’s elite set to be in attendance. The event will provide the perfect platform for celebrating the achievements of the sector, and also give guests the chance to network with peers and forge new avenues of business.
Tickets are in limited supply, so it is recommended that those who wish to attend should secure a place at the event via the Footwear Industry Awards website, where an introductory early bird discount is available until 20 January 2020.
